App, Smartphones & Setup
Three ways to track your rides with Sweel:
  1. Strava integration: Connect your account for accurate automatic tracking.
  2. Apple Health / Health Connect: Sync your health data to capture your rides.
  3. AI detection: Our advanced motion technology detects your rides in real-time — without doing anything.
iOS: All iPhones running iOS 17 or later are compatible.

Android: Google Pixel (Android 14+), Samsung S series (S22 and later). For other models, use Strava or Health Connect sync.
Yes. In the Sweel app → Settings → Connected Services → Data source. Connect your Strava account and set your work hours to sync only work-related rides.
Check permissions in iOS/Android settings: Location → Always and Motion detection → Enabled. If everything is correct, tap the '!' button in the top right of the Rides screen.
Use only one sync type. If Apple Health and Strava are both active simultaneously, duplicates may appear. You can manually delete any duplicate ride from your report.
In the Sweel app → Settings → Profile → Work hours. Set your working days and hours so Sweel only captures rides relevant to your allowance.

Bicycle mileage allowance · Belgium
A per-kilometre allowance paid by your employer for commuting to work by bike. Tax-free up to €0.35/km and capped at €2,500 per year (2025 tax year).
All of them: regular bike, e-bike, mountain bike, speed pedelec (up to 45 km/h), road bike. The only condition: using it for your home-to-work commute.
Since 2024, sworn statements no longer suffice. The employer must demonstrate the trips actually made via time-stamped GPS data — exactly what Sweel generates.

Example: 20 km round trip × 220 days × €0.35/km = €1,540 tax-free per year. The €2,500/year cap is quickly reached over long distances.
